Temporary office project to create an evolving, ergonomic environment, avoiding repetition and 'boxes within a box.' Key to this is a space variable between seating/standing, set with soft thresholds dispelling notions of open plan yet still encouraging collaboration and discussion between up to 10 workers.
Research discussed Kumiko screens, in particular the Senbon-Koushi latticework, influencing a bespoke seating arrangement. This reusable, non-site-specific modular form is implemented with predominantly recyclable materials to encourage positive end of life arrangements.
Further Eastern influences extend to the bright aura, with darker elements in the accessories - notably the chairs - anchoring the shapely aesthetic, whilst colourblock walls provide height. The shelving unit conceals existing columns whilst providing psychological shielding from the waiting area.
